Students committing suicide
Day before yesterday I came across a news in The Times of India “When marks score over a child's life" it was a horrifying news at least for me. The report says that 5857 students committed suicide across India in 2006 due to exam related stress.
Children are considered the future of a nation and our future is committing suicide just due to a faulty education system. Isn't it time to take action to ensure the future of the nation?
When I was young my illiterate mother used to tell me the importance of education. She used to emphasize on education by telling me that an uneducated person is like a blind and education gives 2 extra eyes on the back side of head. Means an educated person can see more than an uneducated.
I too believe that KNOWLEDGE IS POWER. It gives us the confidence to do anything, create anything or even destroy anything. One can earn his living easily and lead good life with education and that's what millions of our people believe and with this belief millions of parents send their children to school for education. What they get after 15/17 years of study and a few lakhs rupees expenditure is a degree. And a graduation degree likes B.A, B.Com, B.Sc. or even B.E. doesn’t have much value in the market today.
Yesterday a lady with M.Sc. B. Ed. degree joined our institute to prepare for her first job interview. While preparing her I came to know that she will be paid Rs6000/ pm if selected. She has spent nearly 20 years of her life in getting these degrees.
There are millions of graduates and post graduates in our country who are willing to work even for a couple of thousand rupees. Their parents sent them to schools and colleges to ensure their future. Are their future ensure or even insured? On the other hand an illiterate skilled worker earns Rs200/ -to 300/- per day. There are millions of uneducated contractors, builders and businessmen who earn millions of rupees without having any formal education.
Most of Indian businessmen do not have much of formal education yet they have achieved what the most educated people can't achieve. India's greatest businessmen like G.D BIRLA, J.R.D. TATA, Dhirubhai Ambani were not even metric {s.s.c.} pass. I have a very big list of world's greatest people who didn't have good formal education yet they have achieved great success in their respected field.
I have practical solution for this grave problem. I have designed an education based on my 38 years of experience. I can redefine and revolutionize our ailing education and eradicate unemployment from India in a just a couple of years. I can make India a knowledge hub of the world. I can do wonders what no minister or educationist can do. But nobody is ready to believe me because I am an autodidact.
Perhaps I am India's one and only true autodidact professor of English in India. I started working on a grocery store when I was hardly 10years old. I have taught and trained thousands of people up to now without having any degree for myself.
I learnt the true meaning and purpose of education while doing odd and even jobs in this topsy turvy world. I have the guts and abilities to redesign our education and make it truly meaningful. I have tried my level best to spread the message but who cares. Our media are a corrupt lot and they do not publish anything unless they are paid. Is there anyone who can help me to convey my message to people who matter?
