Morning Walk
Though it appears a very simple form of exercise yet it's a complete exercise. The easiest and most inexpensive method of keeping oneself fit. Its benefits are numerous if done in right place and at right time. I do not know who inspired me to go for morning walk but anyhow I picked up this habit in late seventies when I used to live in Bombay. I started going for my early morning walk on marine drive.
Instead of telling my personal story I would like to sum up the benefits and easy tips to form this good habit.
It should be done before sunrise and in natural surrounding where we can get fresh oxygen. Farm, garden, river side or any peaceful and clean place or even on the outskirt of your village, town or city. Have a habit of going alone to get more benefits. If you form a habit of going with someone then you have to wait and depend upon him/her and when he fails to come, you too cancel your walk. It's better to go alone. When you are alone you get plenty of time to introspect and you get solution for many serious problems.
Walking makes you think and act rationally. It tons up your stomach and improves digestion system. It activates the brain and enhances your confidence. It helps you get sound sleep and sound sleep will enhance your immunity. In short it gives good health. I have been doing it for nearly 3 decades and reaping its benefits.
If you wish to enjoy your morning walk, wear short clothes, sp. white dress {never wear dark colours } and good shoes. Eat good breakfast before walk. And if you go for a walk specially in a garden then you can carry a walkman and enjoy your favourite music, it will double the pleasure. If you do it properly the way I have suggested then it will be addictive and this addiction is good.
I have not taken any medicine or consulted any doctor in last 25 years atleast. I believe that good health is a matter of good habits.
