SCHOOL A JAIL

The purpose of school education should be to teach the basic values of life, the meaning of life, how to live and enjoy life. Frankly speaking our present day school education has become a burden and stress on young minds but who cares?

The stress is so much that children don`t get enough time to play and enjoy a new life. Many of them forget to laugh freely. School, tuitions and home work leave no time to enjoy and play in day time and open air. Schools and homes, sp.in urban are so congested that childern easily get stressed.

Whatever they are made to learn in the name of education, ultimately doesn`t help them in practical life. Aren`t we making a mess of everything in the name of education? How a 10 years old child, who is a bundle of energy and full of jest for life is compelled to keep himself in a JAIL called school for 6 hours everyday and suffer a punishment of education??

Someone has rightly commented "The founding fathers of school have invented a jail called school and education as a punishment“because they found that highly energetic and agile children are uncontrollable.

Our education system needs drastic changes in it, it should be made practical and enjoyable. The educators should be retrained to teach the right stuffs. They should learn to teach the young minds entertainingly. They should create such atmosphere at school that all children should spontenously come to school.

Believe it or not, from my own survey I found that most of children do not like to go to school. But they can`t do anything since they don`t have any other option.

But I have many practical suggestions for schools, and educators if they have intention to reform the decaying education system.
