As the Regional Director of Carat Asia Pacific, his portfolio included Research, Strategic Planning, Tools & Software, Training and Product Development for 12 countries in the region spanning Australia and New Zealand to China. He has also represented the Asia Pacific region on the global Products & Services and Media/IT boards.
Moorthy is a post-graduate in Statistics from the Madras Christian College, University of Madras. His career, spanning 29 years, has been spent largely in Media. He has worked in a number of leading advertising agencies including Ogilvy & Mather and McCann-Erickson.
A prolific teacher, he is a regular lecturer on Advertising, Creative and Media Strategy at the Times School of Marketing. In the past, he has been closely associated with Indian Institute of Mass Communications, The Delhi School of Communications and many other institutes in Delhi and throughout India.
A keen trainer, Moorthy is associated with some of the leading media and advertising professionals in India today. Many of them continue to acknowledge him as their guru. Today, many of them are in senior management positions in advertising and marketing companies.
He is a keen writer and has a number of articles and research papers to his credit. His articles are keenly looked forward to by both the professional and academic communities.
