Avoid these interviews

I have recently had 2 harrowing experiences at interviews.

One is with Macmillan, the publishing company and the other is a "s/w" firm Mindlogicx.

In the first one, my appointment was at 12 and I reconfirmed it in the morning but when I reached through the sweltering heat and traffic of bangalore, I was told that the senior VP who was supposed to interview me was out and no chance of meeting him. What followed was an inane HR interview. Till date the concerned exec hasn't had the time to even acknowledge/apologize.

MindLogicx - This is one company where I think mind and logic both have failed!

I was called in today and when I went there after great difficulty (distance, traffic, location), there were 10 or so people waiting. Normally this is not done for senior roles. There was no proper welcome, water or tea and all were made to wait for 2 hours because the CEO was busy with his team.

How could they have fixed interviews at that time? I am shocked that there are still such unprofessional companies here which I'm sure will sully India's IT reputation (I am assuming they will behave similarly with their customers). How come these people have no respect for other people's time.
When some of us asked to meet the CEO the request was declined. So we walked out in disgust.

I have personally decided to shun all HR interviews in future, there is no point. They can always ask their questions on phone. If this company treats people like this at the interview stage, what happens to people who get thru? One wonders.

i attended the interview a few days ago for a senior position , the treatment i got is making people wait . I think they hve the same method of testing ppl who come for interviews all the time 24/7 every year. I cant believe how Srijith is there for 4 yrs and the trauma he has/is going thru . I hr'd that the company provides a low salary standard, ethics & is the poorest in treatments of their employees in many ways.ithink ppl workin there r bound to b bonded laborers.

Hi Raju, I worked 4 consultancy in Madiwala, most of the candidates we scheduled 4 Mindlogicx complained of bad treatment at ths off & would request us never to schedule interviews with such co's, Vishal, Anil... were some of those expd candidates for the pos of Manager who repeatedly got such bad treatments, everytime they were scheduled the concerned person would disappear without prior intimation making the candidate to wait 4 hrs and then finally postphone 4 next day! Disgusting

I agree with Mr.Raju. I know how unprofessional and employee unfriendly Mindlogicx is. I have spent almost 1 horrible year working in that scrap company. They had no vision

When a thoughtfully chosen gift is wrapped with equal thought and care, it feels all the more special to the person who receives it. Here are some innovative ways to package items big and small for everyone on your gift list. Bows all over When it comes to these dainty decorations, more is more. Instead of embellishing packages with a lone bow, tie on several, and experiment with different styles. Seam binding, which is both attractive and inexpensive, is perfect for the task

Mr.Srijith : I had attended an interview at Mindlogicx for a senior position as Project Head - SBU and was happy by the way I had been treated for a short while during my visit. I still cherish the memories of the short span spent at the campus "Techllano" and the friendly atmosphere, hospitiality created by the staff. Hi Raju

Srijith: You email has only proved what Raju had stated in his email. If you think standing up against those who don't value other people's time is a negative mindset, think again! If our country is so notorious for time mis management, it is because of people like you and companies like MindLogicx! Raju: Be happy about the incident at MindLogicx. As they say, a job interview is not only for the employer to evaluate the candidate, it is also for the candidate to evaluate the employer. I know people like you will eventually find good, professional companies and good companies will also eventually find people like you. Good luck.

Hi Raju It is quite unfortunate that you had such a bitter experience with Mindlogicx. I have been working with this company for the past 4 years. It is hard to believe that my company which values human relationships and follows corporate culture and ethics to the core would ever treat their prospective manpower like this. We treat all our candidates with atmost care and in a hostile way. We always call our campus " Techllano" as the land of opportunities. People like you have such a negative mindset is hard to be groomed and for sure this company which we treat it as our temple is no place for you my friend !!! Wishing you all the best for your future. Please keep in touch either by phone or mail My mobile number is 9900542706 and my email Id is srijith@mindlogicx.com Chow

Hi Raju. Read ur two harrowing experience of interviews. I wld say, Don't be disappointed. Keep trying. This world is full of people like them, who do not value the time of others. Their own time is all the more very important to them. In future, try contacting HR people by phone and confirm the availabilty of the Interviewer. When you reach the spot, report the desk of your arrival and wait patiently. Don't expect tea, water or welcome. Search for these things in the office vicinity yourself and help yourself. And keep smiling !!
