The reason one get into a relationship is to share your thoughts and feelings with someone, but that atleast is a priority ...being able to share ones feelings with someone who actually understands. So a couple needs to have same or nearly the same mental level also to be able to share opinions and give suggestions and be there for one another.
About mutual trust. u go out to work obviously you'll be working with the opposite sex and I’m sure u wouldn’t want your partner to think 24x7 that you'll be cheating on them and and vice versa and for that u need to build that trust.
and off course, no relationship would work without the love and some loving' *wink wink*
there is a saying which I love and I follow:
"for a great relationship u need to fall in love many times, always with the same person!"
